This conference presents the findings of the CAMOU project, which focuses on the role of “camouflage” in the career paths of people with autism, particularly women with autism.
Based on a study conducted in France and Luxembourg with 132 participants, it highlights the coping strategies used to meet social and professional expectations, as well as their impacts on mental health, well-being, and job retention.
Beyond these findings, this conference will offer concrete suggestions for better understanding these challenges and guiding the practices of employers and field professionals toward more inclusive and supportive work environments.
